Casting directors are often harder on online submissions as they assume you had several takes to make the submission.
You must present your absolute best work when submitting remotely. Be aware of your surrounding when filming your audition. Try to make them as professional as possible by possibly putting up a curtain backdrop. At the very least, do not have clothes and other clutter in the background. Avoid background noise that can be distracting for the casting directors. Check to make sure the sound quality is good if this is a vocal audition. Your room should have reasonably good acoustics. Be sure there is proper light so you are clearly visible. If examples are provided for you, be sure to note the specifics i.e. was the demonstrator wearing heels or flats?
